Here are YOUR favorites in the first semi final of Selectia Nationala!

Selectia Nationala 2018, Romania’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest kicks off tonight with its first of five semi finals, where 12 acts are going to compete for the three places in the Final. The finalists are going to be selected entirely by the jury, televoting will have no say in the results tonight.

In the past couple of days we ran a poll asking you which songs you would like to see qualify for the Final of Selectia Nationala 2018, and with almost 700 votes received, here are the current results:

  1. Alex Florea – Nobody Told Me It Would Hurt – 23.40%
  2. Hellen – From Underneath – 22.53%
  3. Alexia & Matei – Walking On Water – 14.24%
  4. Waleska – Renacer (Reborn) – 10.47%
  5. Johnny Badulescu – Devoted – 8.14%
  6. Echoes – Mirror – 6.98%
  7. Elena Turcu – The Perfect Fall – 6.40%
  8. Eduard Santha – Mesom Romales – 4.51%
  9. CornEL – Take Me Away – 1.74%
  10. Liviu Anghel – Rise Up – 1.02%
  11. Lina – A love Worth Falling For – 0.44%
  12. Tom Hartis – Teardrop Rain – 0.15%

Our editors panel have also listened to the 12 songs which are competing tonight, and voted for them. This is our outcome:

  1. Alexia & Matei – Walking On Water
  2. Alex Florea – Nobody Told Me It Would Hurt
  3. CornEL – Take Me Away
  4. Eduard Santha – Mesom Romales
  5. Elena Turcu – The Perfect Fall
  6. Waleska – Renacer (Reborn)
  7. Echoes – Mirror
  8. Tom Hartis – Teardrop Rain
  9. Lina – A love Worth Falling For
  10. Liviu Anghel – Rise Up
  11. Johnny Badulescu – Devoted
  12. Hellen – From Underneath

Both our editors and our readers think that two of the three qualifiers tonight should be Alex Florea, and Alexia & Matei. Hellen has divided our readers and our editors – whilst our readers want to see her join Alex and Alexia & Matei in the Finals, our editors have placed her last, and put CornEL in the top three instead.

You can still vote in our poll if you haven’t done so until now, and you can still change the result. The poll will close at the end of the show tonight. Vote for your personal favorites that you would like to see proceed to the Finals, right here:
