Madame Monsieur to represent France in Lisbon with ‘Mercy’

The French national final ‘Destination Eurovision’ finished a few moments ago and we can now confirm that Madame Monsieur will be representing France in Lisbon with the song ‘Mercy’

Eight songs competed in the final, and the result was determined by a mix of scores from ten international juries, and a televote (each with a 50% weighting).

After the international juries voted, Lisandro held the lead from Emmy by just 8 points, with Madame Monsieur in 3rd, a further 16 points behind Emmy .  Once the televote was combined with the jury scores, the final result was as follows:

1st – Madame Monsieur – ‘Mercy’ – 186 points
2nd – Lisandro Cuxi – ‘Eva’ – 162 points
3rd – Malo’ – ‘Ciao’ – 117 points
4th – Emmy Liyana – ‘OK ou KO’ – 112 points
5th – IGIT – ‘Lisboa Jérusalem’ – 110 points
6th – Max Cinnamon – ‘Ailleurs’ – 90 points
7th – Nassi – ‘Rêve De Gamin’ – 48 points
8th – Louka – ‘Mamma Mia’ – 15 points

France were represented in Kyiv by Alma with ‘Requiem’ and finished in 12th place.  Will Madame Monsieur fare any better in Lisbon?
