Shuma re-wrote the lyrics of their Eurovision bid “Hmarki”!

As we reported earlier, it was discovered that Shuma – one of the finalists of the Belarusian Eurovision selection, have used parts of an old Belarusian folk song “Ishli hmarki u triy parky” in the lyrics of their entry “Hmarki”. After touring around Ukraine, the band re-wrote the lyrics of their entry in order to be fully compliant with the rules of the competition.

Max Shchur helped the band re-write the lyrics of their Eurovision bid “Hmarki”, so that they are fully compliant with the rules of the national selection in Belarus, and thus not to have any issues should they end up winning the competition, and going on to represent Belarus in Lisbon.
