Christabelle Borg wins Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2018!

The Maltese Eurovision Song Contest has just concluded and we have a winner! Christabelle Borg will represent Malta in Lisbon in May!

After all 16 acts had performed, the votes from the international juries of Iceland, Albania, Czechia, Macedonia and Italy were combined with the votes from the Maltese public and there was a clear winner in Christabelle!

Christabelle secured 12 points from all 5 jury countries to give her a total of 60 points, and she finished top of the public televote also, securing 73 points to give her a grand total of 133 points!

Richard and Joe’s “Song for Dad” finished in 2nd position with Brooke’s “Heart of Gold” in 3rd place.

Malta will perform in the 2nd semi-final in Lisbon on May 10th, with the hope of making it into the final on May 12th. What do you think of Malta’s chances at Eurovision this year? Did they make the right decision? Let us know on our social media pages!
