The first semi-final of Vidbir, the Ukrainian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, has just ended and has given us the first 3 finalists!

Laud – Waiting, The Erised – Heroes and Vilna – Forest Song are the first three acts that can look forward to performing their song again in the final.

Laud was loved by the jury and televoters alike, getting 9 points from the jury and 7 from the public, but The Erised and Vilna were only given 5 and 3 points by the jury consisting of Andriy Danylko (the man behind Verka Serduchka), Eugene Filatov (from Onuka) and Jamala. The public, however, saved them, awarding The Erised 8 points and Vilna the maximum of 9 points!

Next week another 9 acts await to perform for the jury and viewers both in the hall and at home and among them are Illaria, Kadnay, Mélovin and Tayanna!
