It’s a Eurovision Knockout! #escknockout

As we are getting closer and closer to the live shows of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, and the Grand Final being 55 days away, we wanted to start a Eurovision Knockout ‘battles’ on our Twitter, and see which of this year’s 43 acts is going to come out as the winner.

We split the 43 entries in 21 duels of two – as we have an uneven number of participants, we thought it’s only fair for Portugal to be through to the second phase. The duels have been allocated in the alphabetical order of the song titles. In the second phase the winners of each duel from the first round and Portugal are going to be paired in knockouts, thus we will have 11 duels – they’ll be allocated by the alphabetical order of the artists’ names. Apart from the winner of each knockout, the act which lost with the lowest margin will get a ‘wildcard’ for the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinals, there will be six duels of two, and the winner of each one will go to the Semi Finals. There will be three semi finals, where the winner of each one will go into the Final of three.
