Belgian broadcaster Één has just revealed the title of Sennek’s song, aswell as the release date. The Belgian entry will be revealed this Tuesday, 6th March.
As we first announced in September Belgium has chosen Sennek, otherwise known as Laura Groeseneken to represent them this year.
The Belgian broadcaster broke the news by posting this image on their Facebook page:
Who is Sennek?
Laura Groeseneken, performing under the alias Sennek, was selected internally by the Belgian broadcaster Één to represent Belgium this year. Since 2014, she started performing with Ozark Henry and together they have appeared at some of Belgium’s biggest festivals, such as Rock Werchter.
Sennek performed an English version last year’s winning song ‘Amar pelos dois’, which you can see below.
Belgium first debuted in the first ever contest in 1956 with the artist Fud Leclerc. The last time they won was back in 1986 with Sandra Kim’s “J’aime la vie”
Although failing to qualify in the 2000’s, Belgium have came in the top 10 in the last 3 years, coming 10th in 2016 and then 4th in both 2015 and 2017
