Elina Nechayeva’s performance is saved, the funds have been found!

Eesti Laul, the Estonian preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest, was won by Elina Nechayeva this year with her song ‘La Forza’. An operatic song which for its performance used graphics that were projected onto Elina’s dress.

But a few weeks ago problems arose as it became that for the performance in Lisbon, due to the arena being bigger, a stronger projector was needed to get the visuals onto the dress appropriately. This new performance would cost € 65.000. Sponsorship deals were needed and the Estonian delegation were hoping sponors would step up to save the performance.

Mart Normet, the Estonian Head of Delegation, is now delighted to share that the funds have been found. The sponsors involved are Saku Suurhall, Carglass, Estravel and River Island. They are, however, not paying the entire amount but broadcaster ERR and Elina’s management company are providing the rest.

Now the song can make the first impression as Elina and ERR intended it. See what a first impression can do:

And these are the song and performance in question in full:

The Estonian delegation will travel to Lisbon this Saturday, the 28th, and Elina will perform in the first semi-final as 9th on May 8!
