Jean-Paul Gaultier will design Madame Monsieur’s stage outfits!

It has just been revealed that renowned French fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier will be designing the stage clothing for his compatriots and French representatives Madame Monsieur for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018!

Gaultier is no stranger to the contest himself, having designed both the feathery outfit Dana International wore when reprising her winning song ‘Diva’ in 1998, Anggun’s dress when she represented France in Baku in 2012 and has worked closely with Conchita Wurst as well after her win. Furthermore, he has been the French commentator in 2008.

Here you can see Dana perform ‘Diva’ in said dress:

And now Jean-Paul, as said, continues his Eurovision adventure by offering to design clothing for this year’s French couple:

Emilie and Jean-Karl themselves are happy, saying:

Jean-Paul Gaultier told us:” I understood very well that you had already defined a look, we will try to work on it without distorting what you are, we will stay sober, which resembles you, in the lineage of what you have built up so far. ” We have a great respect for him: he has not tried to impose himself as ”Gaultier”, he wants to maximise our potential while respecting what we are and it’s great.
