French broadcaster France 2 has confirmed that their National selection show, ‘Destination Eurovision’ will return for 2019

Speaking to French Newspaper 20 minutes, Delphine Ernotte, chairwoman of France Télévisions said:

“We will continue to do so because it is a good formula to select the candidate “

Despite the show being enjoyed by Eurovision fans, Destination Eurovision attracted just 2.1 million people in France, although the Eurovision Song Contest itself was watched by 5.2 million viewers in France- the most people in France to watch the contest since 2009.
