James Blunt on Eurovision: I’m waiting for them to call me

In an interview with Estonian website Publik Delfi, James Blunt has said that he’d be willing to write a song for the UK and that he’s “waiting for them to call me”

James told the reporter:

“I guess the thing I’m saddest about is that… England never wins and I’m just waiting for them to call me because I’m here to fix this.”

When asked when James would take part, James replied:

“I think whenever the UK is ready to win Eurovision”

Aswell as talking about the UK, James talked about this years winning entry ‘Toy’ saying:

“I thought it was great. I genuinely thought it was exciting and different and full of character and was so relieved it won.”

James’ music has got a good track record, with his last album ‘The Afterlove’ reaching the Top 10 in over 10 countries across Europe.

He’s the latest in a growing line of artists who’ve said that they’d like to write for the UK, including Norway’s Jowst and the UK’s Ed Sheeran
