ESCBubble’s new music roundup

Another week and another roundup for you from us at ESCBubble, and we have a selection of the best new releases from Eurovision and National Final acts for you to enjoy.  Let’s see what’s out there this week!

Brendan Murray – Way Too Fast

Ireland’s 2017 Eurovision entrant Brendan Murray returns with a long awaited follow up single following the contest.  Brendan finished 13th in the second Semi Final last year with ‘Dying To Try’ and unfortunately continued a recent run where Ireland did not make the final (broken this year by Ryan O’Shaughnessy of course).  Listen to his comeback single ‘Way Too Fast’ below:

Renaida – Loco Nation

Renaida Braun made her debut in Melodifestivalen this year with the well regarded ‘All The Feels’ where she finished a respectable 9th (after qualifying through Andra Chansen).  Renaida also finished 6th in the 2016 of the Swedish version of Idol and has starred in the musical version of Aladdin.  ‘Loco Nation’ is her follow up banger following Melodifestivalen, is it giving you all the feels?

Lisa Ajax – In No Time

Lisa is a two time Melodifestivalen finalist (2016 and 2017) and she also came through the Idol route, winning the competition in 2014.  She’ll be hoping to continue the momentum from her two top 10 Melodifestivalen results with her new single ‘In No Time’.  Have a listen to it here:

Madeline Juno – Borderline

You may remember Madeline Juno taking part in Unser Song für Dänemark, the German Eurovision selection show, in 2014.  Unfortunately her song ‘Like Lovers Do’ didn’t get past the first round of voting, and since then she has released a lot of material without much success.  She’s hoping her latest release ‘Borderline’ will be the one to turn her fortunes around, give it a try below:

Dotter – Heatwave

Johanna Maria Jansson, better known as Dotter, came into this year’s Melodifestivalen with high expectations.  Having co-written Mariette’s 4th place entry ‘A Million Years’ the year before, she would have been extremely disappointed to have finished 6th in her semi final with ‘Cry’.  Undeterred she’s back with a new single ‘Heatwave’, which you can listen to here:

Martin Almgren – Unconditional

In another strong week for Swedish Melodifestivalen releases, we have the return of another one of this year’s contestants.  Martin finished 8th with his folksy number ‘A Bitter Lullaby’ and the former 2015 Idol winner is back in the same vein with his latest single ‘Unconditional”:

Staysman & Lazz – Kyss Meg

Stian Thorbjørnsen and Lasse Jensen came a respectable 3rd in the 2015 Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix with their entry ‘En godt stekt pizza’ (English: ‘A Well Done Pizza’).  The duo, better known as Staysman & Lazz, had previously won the Norwegian television series ‘Summer Star’ with the oddly titled ‘Uten sko’ (‘Without Shoes’).  You can check out their new offering ‘Kyss Meg’ (‘Kiss Me’) below:

Anton Hagman – Tiotusenmetersklubben

Anton is probably best remembered by Eurovision fans as the the one who eliminated former winner Loreen in last year’s Melodifestivalen Andra Chansen.  An artist who got his big break releasing music onto YouTube, he returns with the interestingly titled ‘Tiotusenmetersklubben’ – better known in English as the Mile High Club!  Will you be flying high after listening to this?  Check it out here:

And finally….

After all of her recent output, Molly Hammar, released a 6 track EP this week called ‘Sex’, you can hear the track ‘Drive’ on the ‘New Music Playlist’ on our Spotify playlist on the homepage, along with all the other songs featured today.

Don’t forget ESCBubble has already brought to you this week new singles from Laura Rizzotto and Ilinca.
