Wil Ferrell to star in film ‘Eurovision’

Netflix has today announced that Will Ferrell will star in a film based on the Eurovision.

Ferrell will co-write the comedy with Saturday Night Live writer Andrew Steele. Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum will produce for Gary Sanchez Productions, and Adam McKay will be executive producer.

Ferrell has sung in a range of films including Step Brothers, and during his run on Saturday Night Live. He was spotted at the Eurovision at this years’ Opening Ceremony, aswell as in the Press area, where he was reportedly going backstage to research the role.

News on the release date is yet to be announced, but we’ll of course let you know as soon as we find out.

1996 was the first time I watched Eurovision and I remembering hearing the UK song on the radio.
The 1st contest I went to was in 2016 and I loved it. I had a great time and felt like the city really embraced the contest.
My favourite winning song was in 1998. It was the first time someone from the LGBT community won and it was sung where I live - in Birmingham.
