Dana International has showed support for LGBT causes by releasing a new version of the song “Mi Ha’Ish” (Who is the man).
The song comes after Israel recently loosened its laws on surrogacy regulations, but these have excluded gay couples. On July 18th hundreds of demonstrators in Tel Aviv blocked roads, shouting slogans at the Prime Minister, as reported by the newspaper Haaretz.
The video features a drag queen, aswell as a father and son, two gay men with their children, and a man holding a transgender flag.
The cause has recently been supported by a number of people in Israel’s Eurovision community, including Netta and the writer of this year’s winning song Doron Medalie.
