Shiri Maimon Announced as judge for next series of HaKokhav HaBa
Shiri Maimon has announced that she’s to join HaKokhav HaBa as a judge for its next series.
Shiri Maimon who represented Israel in 2005 has revealed the news on Instagram, with the TV show also confirming the news on Facebook
Confirming the news on Facebook the page for HaKokhav HaBa has said:
Now it’s official: Finance songs will judge next season of הכוכב hbʼ alongside the fells foundation, harel skaat, collected amdursky wsttyq and Ben Al. Remember when she just walked into our lives on “Born Star” in 2003?
Maimon rose to fame in 2003 when she finished as the runner up on Kokhav Nolad (A star is born). In 2005 she entered the Israeli selection for Eurovision with the song “HaSheket SheNish’ar” (The Silence that Remains) and went on to represent her country in Ukraine. The song came 4th,Israel’s best result between 1999 and 2017.

HaKokhav HaBa (Rising Star) has been used since 2015 to select the Israeli participant for the Eurovision Song Contest. Currently the broadcaster KAN is holding a tender process to determine the show it will use to select the Israeli entrant for Eurovision 2019.
