The latest new music from ESCBubble

We may be midway through the summer holidays but we still have lots of music from former Eurovision and National Final artists finding its way to ESCBubble HQ.  Here is your comprehensive guide to what’s out there this week:

Amir – Longtemps

Amir Haddad took part in the 2016 Contest for France and finished sixth with ‘J’ai Cherche’, securing their best result since 2002.  Since then he’s had lots more success on the French singles chart and he’s back again with a ballad titled ‘Longtemps’ (Eng: ‘Long Time’):

Robin Bengtsson – I Wanna Fall In Love Again

The Swedish 2017 Melodifestivalen winner is back with what is already his third single of the year!  January saw the release of ‘Day By Day’ and in June he brought out the single called ‘Liar’.  His latest song is titled ‘I Wanna Fall In Love Again’ and you can hear it below:

Electro Velvet, Lone Sharx – Take Me Home

We were a little shocked at ESCBubble towers, when after a three year hiatus, a follow up single from the UK’s 2015 representatives appeared! Electro Velvet consist of the duo Alex Larke and Bianca Nicholas, and they participated with the ‘electro swing’ entry ‘Still In Love With You’ at Eurovision, finishing in a disappointing 24th place.  Are they bringing the electro swing sound back again?  Find out with the new single, recorded with Lone Sharx, ‘Take Me Home’:

Laing – Camera

You may remember the German National Final 2015 for several reasons,  The winner Andreas Kümmert declining to go to Eurovision, the confusing format where each artist had two songs or maybe for the all female group performing their song dressed for the gym on bicycles? Our cycling ladies were Laing who reached the second round of voting in the Unser Song für Österreich but neither of their two entries ‘Zeig deine Muskeln‘ or ‘Wechselt die Beleuchtung’ progressed to the last two.  Here they are with their latest release called ‘Camera’:

Ilse DeLange – Sun & Shadow

Former member of the Common Linnets, Ilse DeLange, releases another song from her forthcoming self titled album ‘Ilse DeLange’.  The album is released on 31st August and includes the single ‘Lay Your Weapons Down’ which we have brought to you on this review previously.  Here’s the new track ‘Sun & Shadow’:

Kate Ryan – Kronenburg Park

Eurovision fans will remember Kate from the 2006 Contest, when as one of the bookmakers favourites she failed to qualify to the Final with her song ‘Je t’adore’.  Outside of the contest she has been huge in Belgium from 2001 onwards and has had many hits across the continent too.  However in a surprise change in musical style she’s released a cover of Frank Boeijen’s 1985 Dutch single ‘Kronenburg Park’.  Listen to this more acoustic, downtempo side to Kate here:

Omar Rudberg feat Elias Hurtig – La Mesa

Omar is a member of the Swedish boyband FO&O who finished 11th the 2017 Melodifestivalen final with the entry ‘Gotta Thing About You’.  The band members have recently begun to release solo material, in particular FELIX SANDMAN who finished second at this years Melfest.  ‘La Mesa’ is Omar’s second single and you can probably guess from the title it’s a Spanish language single in a reggaeton style:

Triana Park – Rozã Brille

2017 Latvian act Triana Park are back!  Unfortunately their Eurovision experience didn’t go as hoped, they failed to make it out of their semi final, and came last with the song ‘Line’. This is their first release since their album ‘Alive’ but we’re not sure yet if it’ll appear on the next one.

Lead singer Agnes Rakovska said this about the new single:

The song is about building your own world and believing in your vision – so often we hear suggestions and tutorials on how we should be best, but ultimately, everyone needs to know what decision to make. It requires courage and is not always easy.

Juliana Pasha – Në më je

Albania’s 2010 Eurovision representive Juliana Pasha has returned!  She took her country to the final that year where she eventually finished 16th with ‘It’s All About You’.  She’s continued to perform since and has twice competed since ESC in the Albanian music competition Kënga Magjike.  Her new song ‘Në më je’ (Eng: ‘On Your Own’) can be heard below:
