Croatia to select their 2019 Eurovision entry through Dora?

The General Director of the Croatian national broadcaster HRT, Mr. Kazimir Bacic, gave an interview for the Nedjeljni Jutarnji magazine, where he announced that the 2019 Croatian Eurovision entrant is going to be chosen in ‘Dora’ – the festival where Croatian Eurovision entrants were selected up until 2011.

According to eurosong.hr, preparations for Dora 2019 have already started, and the format that is expected is the one that was used up until 2010, where artists competed with their own original songs (unlike in 2011, where Dora was a ‘Pop Idol’ type talent show, eventually won by Daria Kinzer). The last winners of Dora were Feminnem, who won the hearts of both the juries and the public back then with their song “Lako je sve” and went on to represent Croatia in Oslo.

The final confirmation on this, as well as the call for songs and the full rules and regulations are expected once the Board of Directors of HRT approves the full budgeting for 2019.
