The final date for X Factor Malta has been confirmed as Sunday 26th January 2019.

During this show, the winning act will be announced and that person will also represent Malta at next years Eurovision.

The final will follow 3 live shows which will be aired on the 6th, 13th and 20th of January. It’s currently unknown how many acts will appear in the Final or whether Malta’s song for the Eurovision will also be shown during the show.

The final will take place in Malta Fairs and Convention Centre in Ta’Qali. The venue previously hosted the Maltese final for the Eurovision this year and last year.

As we announced in June, Maltese broadcaster PBS announced that The X Factor Malta would be the new method for selecting who will represent Malta in the Eurovision. The previous selection show Malta Eurovision Song Contest has been used under different names since the country’s debut in the contest back in 1971.
