The fuego is relit! Eleni Foureira returns with her reggaeton smash ‘Tomame’

The ‘Fuego’ has been burning all summer long but it’s finally time for Eleni Foureira to release her long awaited follow up to her Eurovision runner up and worldwide smash hit!

‘Tomame’ (Eng: ‘Take Me’) invites you on a dirty, dancefloor ready reggaeton adventure, with Eleni interspersing English and Spanish to appeal to a wider audience.  The chorus is completely in Spanish and will appeal to the Spanish radio stations who have lapped up ‘Fuego’.

The lyrics are fun and very light, with Eleni telling the story of a man she’s met in Ibiza and although he sets her pulse racing it seems like he also has a history of cheating!

Met a boy in Ibiza
But the boy he was a cheater
I think this one is a keeper
Cooler cola in the freezer

And a Spanish chorus brings the fuego to the lyrics:

Tómame tómame soy el agua por tu sed, tómame tómame suave suave otra vez

‘Tomame’ is written by Alex Papaconstantinou, better known as Alex P, who was a writer on her Eurovision 2018 2nd place ‘Fuego’, plus you’ll also know his other Eurovision credits – ‘Yassou Maria’ (Greece 2007), ‘Always’ (Azerbaijan 2009) and ‘La La Love’ (Cyprus 2012).

The song has already been premiered on the Greek radio station ‘Athens Deejay’ and the Spanish giant ‘Los 40’ before its worldwide release.
