Five songs have been selected for the final round in Switzerland!

The Swiss national broadcaster is going for a different approach in order to find their entry for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. And their selection is reaching its final stages, as the public and the juries have selected the best five songs for the final round of the selection process.

The Swiss broadcaster formed a 100-person public jury made of Swiss people who should represent a broad European taste. This public jury, together with an international jury, have listened through and voted for all of the submitted songs for next year’s Eurovision, and have selected the top five songs to proceed to the Final round.

These five songs are now being tested by music producers and by various artists, before going for the “final evaluation”, where the artist(s) and the song to represent Switzerland in Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv will be selected. The name of the act, as well as the song will be announced in March next year.

Zibbz won this year’s edition of Entscheidungsshow with their song “Stones”, and went on to represent Switzerland in Eurovision in Lisbon. Their entry unfortunately failed to make it to the Grand Final. The last time Switzerland was among the finalists was back in 2014, when Sebalter’s “Hunter Of Stars” finished 4th in his semi final, and then 13th in the Grand Final.
