Two days ago, the Irish final for the Junior Eurovision Contest was aired on TV and it confirmed that the winner is: Taylor Hynes!

Taylor is 14 years old, from Clonee, Ireland and has been performing from a young age. Dancing to music whenever he heard it as a little boy, joining several performing arts clubs which led him to playing The Wizard of Oz this Christmas together with drama society Stagezone.

The song Taylor has won the national final with is called ‘IOU’ and was written by Niall Mooney, Jonas Gladnikoff and Taylor Hynes himself.

Today, the music video was released and we can see two former Eurovision contestants from Ireland making an appearance: Niamh Kavanagh (1993 & 2010) is his mum and Ryan O’Shaughnessy (2018) plays dad!

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will take place on Sunday, November 25 in the Minsk Arena.
