Eight acts to compete in the Czech Eurovision Final for 2019!

The Czech national broadcaster CT is once again organizing a national final, in order to select their Eurovision entry. After the success with Mikolas Josef and his “Lie To Me” earlier this year in Lisbon, CT decided to extend the national final from six to a total of eight entries for 2019.

The Eurovision team of CT has confirmed to eurocontest.cz that the eight acts have already been selected – there will be four female soloists, three male soloists, and one band competing to become the eighth act to represent the Czech Republic in Eurovision.

The names of the eight acts, as well as their songs, will be announced in early January. The Czech Republic managed to qualify for the Eurovision Final twice – in 2016 with Gabriela Gunčikova and her song “I Stand”, and this year in Lisbon with Mikolas Josef and his song “Lie To Me”.
