Il Volo about to impress both Slovenia and Croatia

Il Volo are considered to be the successors to the famous Three Tenors and are the only Italian group that has experienced worldwide success on all continents and in all generations. Apart from their Eurovision success, their albums are sold in 50 countries around the world and their concerts are pre-sold out.

The opera pop trio, baritone Gianluca Ginoble (23), tenors Piero Barone (25) and Ignazio Boschetto(24), after successful trips in North and South America and Europe, will becoming to Slovenia and Croatia for the first time in the organization of Star Production at the end of the year. The World Sensation from Italy will take place on December 20th in the Stožice Arena.

The popular trio won the hearts of fans in a short period of time, at the different parts of the world. Due to their excellent vocals, they’ve justified for the successors of the Three tenors. They started their musiccareer as teenagers in 2009 in the television competition Ti lascio una canzone. At first, they performed separately, but then the creator of the show – Roberto Cenci – merged them into a trio, following the example of Three Tenors.

The performance by Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio was noticed by Tony Renis, an Italian music producer living in Los Angeles, and offered them an exclusive contract. Thus, Il Volo became the first Italian musicians to sign a direct agreement with the American record label.

Il Volo released its first album for European, American and the Latin American market already in 2010. It was a global sensation, at the very beginning with appearances in the biggest television shows, such as American Idol, Good Morning America, The Tonight Show, America’s Got Talent, The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In the first week they’ve climbed to the tenth place of the Billboard 200 chart.

The confirmation of this success is two nominations for the Latin American Grammy Award – for the best new artist and for the best album. To date, five albums have been released, in which they collaborated with Plácido Domingo and Eros Ramazzotti, guys also went on eleven tours all around the world.

Three years ago, Il Volo won the San Remo, Italian national selection for Eurovision Song Contest with their number Grande Amore, therefore they’ve received a ticket to Vienna, where they’ve been representing Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest; they’ve finished 3rd.

For the past two years, they have dedicated themselves to the Notte Magica project, which they bowed to three tenors – Domingo, Carreras and Pavarotti. On the album where Plácido Domingo also participated as a performer and conductor, we can find some of the most famous songs that this famous trio sang. After 15 sold out US concerts, they also had 29 appearances in Europe and South America.

They’ve filmed a movie on tour that will be screened in more than 500 arenas around the world. Il Volo now also want to introduce theirselves to the Slovenian and Croatian audience. How the famous trio sounds live, we can hear on December 20th, 2018 in Stožice Hall Ljubljana, and a day later in Arena Zagreb, Croatia. As a part of the European tour, Il Volo already performed in Lodz (Poland), Budapest (Hungary), and Bratislava (Slovakia).
