It’s Tamta for Cyprus!

Fans already suspected it based on rumours floating around and hints given by broadcaster CyBC themselves but today CyBC has confirmed it: Tamta will be representing Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019!

This has just been uploaded to Facebook:

Really pleased and excited to announce our leading artist… #TeamCy

Confirming Alex P once again as the leading songwriter, reaffirming Sacha Jean-Baptiste as stage director (both of them having done the same duties for ‘Fuego’) and revealing Tamta Goduadze as this year’s leading artist!

Tamta has been on the wishlists of fans for years already, wether it be for her homeland Greece, Cyprus or her native Georgia.
In 2007 she already took part in the Greek final with the beloved song ‘With Love’ and in 2015 she apparently wanted to represent Greece at the contest with her hit ‘With Love’ (penned by Alex P as well!):

Back then it didn’t completely work out, but that won’t happen this time as all deals with CyBC/RIK have been made!
Tamta will be shining for the island nation of Cyprus with a song called ‘Replay’!

Are you happy Tamta will be representing Cyprus next year? And what kind of song do you hope ‘Replay’ is?
