Poland to host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019!

The Polish national broadcaster TVP has just announced that after winning the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest last month in Minsk, the next year’s event is going to be held in Poland! This will be the first time Poland is going to organize this event.

13 year old Roksana Wegiel brought her country its first ever Junior Eurovision Song Contest victory with the song “Anyone I Want To Be”. Right after the victory, TVP expressed their interest to host next year’s competition, and submitted a bid to host the event in 2019.

The Executive Supervisor of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Mr. Jon Ola Sand stated:

We are delighted to announce Poland as our Host Country, and TVP as our Host Broadcaster, for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 and once again congratulate Roksana Węgiel on her spectacular winning performance at this year’s Contest. It is always exciting to bring the event to a new Host Country for the first time, and we look forward to seeing TVP’s vision for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 come to life over the forthcoming year.

The EBU and TVP are yet to announce the city and the venue, as well as the date of next year’s Junior Eurovision. Stay tuned for more information to come in the coming months.
