Tonight the Albanian national final ‘Festivali i Këngës’ held a semi final with songs performed in ‘Eurovision’ style and without the traditional orchestra.
Out of the 22 songs the following 14 qualified:
- Jonida Maliqi – Ktheju tokës
- Artemisa Mithi & Febi Shkurti – Dua ta besoj
- Lidia Lufi – Rrëfehem
- Marko Strazimiri & Imbro – Leyla
- Orgesa Zaimi – Hije
- Bojken Lako – Jeto jetën
- Elton Deda – Qetësisht
- Eliza Hoxha – Peng
- Gjergj Leka – Një ditë tjetër
- Soni Malaj – Më e fortë
- Klint Çollaku – Me jetë
- Alar Band – Dashuria nuk mjafto
- Dilan Reka – Karma
- Eranda Libohova – 100 pyetje
The following songs unfortunately did not qualify:
- Aurel Thëllimi – Të dua ty
- Bruno Pollogati – Nuk ka stop
- Elona Islamaj – Në këtë botë kalimtare
- Kelly – A më ndjen
- Klodiana Vata – Mbrëmje e pafund
- Kujtim Prodani – Babela
- Lorela Sejdini – Vetmi
- Mirud – Nënë
The 14 finalists will compete later tonight – Saturday 22nd December at 20.45 CET to find out who will be the Albanian representative in Tel Aviv in May.
