Destination Eurovision – meet the first finalists!

The first semi-final of the French pre-selection show ‘Destination Eurovision’ took place this evening, and we can now confirm that the first four to qualify for the final are:

  1. Bilel Hassani – ‘Roi’
  2. Chimene Badi – ‘La-Haut’
  3. Silvan Areg – ‘Le Petit Nicolas’
  4. Aysat – ‘Comme Une Grande’

The result was determined by a 50/50 combination of televoting, and the votes of an international jury, with the final scores as shown below:

They will be joined in the grand final by a further four acts, which will be determined in the semi final next Saturday evening. The grand final will take place on January 26th, and you can follow the final right here with escbubble.com.

I am so happy for Chimène and Sylvàn they entered the final, but Bilal doesn’t deserve it! Her song is boring and her voice is weak. I enjoyed the show very much, but some contestants (Lautner, Florina and Battista) have weak voices and I can’t understand the international juries why they gave Lautner so much points. The televoters punished them with only seven points in the public vote.
