Czech broadcaster Česká televize (ČT) has just announced who will participate in the Czech national final, ESCZ, this year!
Their names, along with the titles of their songs are:
- Jára Vymer – On My Knees
- Andrea Holá – Give Me a Hint
- Pam Rabbit – Easy To Believe
- Barbora Mochowa – True Colors
- Jakub Ondra – Space Sushi
- Hana Barbara – Poslední slova tobě
- Tomáš Bocek – Don’t Know Why
- Lake Malawi – Friend of a Friend
And you can immediately hear the full songs as well in this playlist!
These songs are available to listen to in the official Eurovision app as well.
In that app you can vote, everyone from all over the world can, but it depends on your location as what your vote will count.
Voters from the Czech Republic will see their votes counted as the televote, whereas the votes from the rest of the world will be combined into one jury vote.
At the same time international jurors will also be voting on these songs. They will receive the songs at the beginning of January to review.
Fans can only vote once in the Eurovision app and a vote is completely free of charge!
The voting ends on January 21 and the end of January the results will be published.
Both the televoters and the jurors will have 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 & 8 points to give away so only 6 out of 8 get points. The act with the most points combined will win and in case of a tie, the televoters have the last say!
Last year the Czech Republic celebrated a huge Eurovision success when Mikolas Josef finished well-inside the top 10 (a 6th place!) at the the contest in Lisbon, Portugal with the infectuous hit ‘Lie to Me’!
