Change in the line-up, as one act gets disqualified from the Final of A Dal 2019!

As we reported earlier, one act that made it to the Final of A Dal 2019 – Hungary’s Eurovision selection got accused of plagiarism, claims that MTVA has investigated. The team found the allegations to be true, and thus the entry has just got disqualified. The entry in question is Petruska – Help Me Out Of Here!

Petruska’s entry “Help Me Out Of Here” was accused of plagiarism. After an investigation, the allegations were found true, as the tempo, the structure, the build up, the melody and the atmosphere of the song, as well as the characteristics in the chorus match perfectly in “Help Me Out Here” as in the song of Vampire Weekend “White Sky”.

Petruska qualified for the Grand Final of A Dal 2019 from the first semi final. As his entry is now being disqualified, the entry that scored the highest amount of points from the jury and the public, but failed to make it to the Final will now be progressed. That entry is Gergő Oláh – Hozzád bújnék.

The final line-up is now as follows:

  • Acoustic Planet – Nyári zápor
  • Bence Vavra – Szótlanság
  • Bogi Nagy – Holnap
  • Fatal Error – Kulcs
  • Gergő Oláh – Hozzád bújnék
  • Gergő Szekér – Madár, repülj!
  • Joci Pápai – Az én apám
  • The Middletonz – Roses
