Eleni Foureira is back with Triumph! in Exclusive interview

The Runner up of Eurovision 2018. (And winner for many) Is back and Ready to Triumph once again! (Hence the song tittle).

It is her 4th single since Eurovision last year, and as the previous ones it’s a hit. Electro-pop beat with great lyrics about living life, stand up for yourself and never give up give this this track everything we need to get ready for the summer.

Eleni Foureira is one of the most iconic artists in the Mediterranean and in europe since last year. the living example of a powerful woman, beyond a diva with great hair and smoking body! we had the chance to talk to her about her new catchy and strong track

Hello Eleni what a pleasure to talk to you once again!

-We are here talking to you very excited about your new single Triumph! What can you tell us about the new collaboration with also triumph lingerie!?

EF: It’s a great pleasure for me to be collaborating with Triumph lingerie on my new song. We initially wanted to make a song together but as the collaboration progressed and grew we decided to make this project about women’s empowerment. I went in the studio with Alex Leon and this song came out! For me “Triumph” is a song about embracing who you are and really just feeling yourself, feeling powerful and unique whatever you “identify” us

Now the new Smash hit! You have released 5 songs in a year (Fuego, Caramela, Tomame and 2019 Sagapo) all of them are very different on the beats.. now tell us about triumph and it’s beat

EF: I feel like Triumph has this new generation funky, playful sound. It’s very much inspired by the electro-pop scene and it represents me as an artist always wanting to experiment and try new ideas with my music.

It has a strong message about Respect, Fun and Strength!  Why those messages?

EF: I really hope this strong message comes through. These three messages are something that really characterize as an artist and a person and I believe they do my audience as well.

Is this only about woman empowerment or just empowerment in general?

EF: The song definitely speaks about women’s empowerment but for me it’s more than just that. For me this song is about everyone being proud of who they are whether they put a label on themselves or not. It’s about having your head up and feeling proud for being unique and different, hence the lyrics “girls and queens and in betweens, in miny skirts, skinny jeans, if you’re with me let me hear you scream. Scream, scream like a queen.

The video is once again amazing tell us about the whole recording process and what was the funniest part

EF: I think all the video was a funny and enjoyable process to shoot. I got to collaborate once again with award winning director Giannis Dimolitsas. We definitely enjoyed walking around the streets of Athens with my powerful ladies.

-Since before Eurovision you have become an ICON for the LGBT+ community are you aware that those amazing lyrics and song are likely to become an anthem for this or other vulnerable minorities?

EF: I am very honored to be (if I am) an Icon for the LGBT+ community, I feel humbled when people say that my lyrics are anthems for them and I really hope that Triumph becomes a true anthem for this community and all women around the world

– What is your message to all the woman out there, in Greece, in Cyprus, In the middle East, Latin America listening to triumph

EF: I’d like to reply to this question with a couple of my lyrics from Triumph:

“Show the goddess underneath and lay your heart up on your sleeve/We might go down in history as we shake down this town/ Let’s be who we were meant to be, get that R-E-S-P-E-C-T and you feel the same as me then sing it out loud.”

– For last what is next? Any plans? Tours and main presentations of you!?

EF: Beautiful things are ahead. For now I’d like to concentrate on my new song and making more music and of course I’m continuing my European tour.

Thank you for your time to answer this question!  Looking forward to see you soon!

Lyrics of “Triumph”

[Verse 1]
Young and old, gather ‘round
Have you ever my latest sound ?
This one’s bringing down the house
Down, down, down the house
Girls and queens and in betweens
In mini skirt, skinny jeans
If you’re with me let me hear you scream
Scream, scream like a queen

[Pre-Chorus]
We’re turning off our telephone
‘Cause we can party all night long
And no, no one can tell us no
We’ll do what we want
We’ll play this game in our own way
And treat life like a holiday
Show the world we’re here to stay
Keep going strong

[Chorus]
This one’s for all my girls, ladies who run the world
You know what you deserve
Together we’ll triumph
This one’s for all my girls, ladies who run the world
You know what you deserve
Together we’ll triumph

[Post-Chorus]
Together we’ll triumph
We’re turning off our telephone
‘Cause we can party all night long
And we’re about to steal the show
We triumph
We live like we’re on holiday
It ain’t your problem anyway
And all the girls can ride the plane
We triumph

[Verse 2]
This is it, now’s the time
Time for them to see us shine
We’re about to cross the line
Cross, cross, cross the line
You beauty queens from silver screens
Cover girls from magazines
Let’s fulfill our wildest dreams
Wil-wil-wildest dreams

[Pre-Chorus]
Show the goddess underneath
Wear your heart up on your sleeve
We might go down in history
As we shake down this town
Let’s be who we were meant to be
Get our R-E-S-P-E-C-T
And if you feel the same as me
Then sing it out loud

[Chorus]
This one’s for all my girls, ladies who run the world
You know what you deserve
Together we’ll triumph
This one’s for all my girls, ladies who run the world
You know what you deserve
Together we’ll triumph

[Post-Chorus]
Together we’ll triumph
We’re turning off our telephone
‘Cause we can party all night long
And we’re about to steal the show
We triumph
We live like we’re on holiday
It ain’t your problem anyway
And all the girls can ride the plane
We triumph
Together we’ll triumph
