Here are the finalists of Söngvakeppnin 2019! Vote for your favourite!

The second semi-final of the Icelandic national selection, Söngvakeppnin 2019, took place tonight in Reykjavik. Five acts competed for the two spots in the final:

  1. Elli Grill, Skaði, Glymur – Jeijó, keyrum alla leið
  2. Ívar Daníels – Þú bætir mig
  3. Heiðrún Anna Björnsdóttir – Helgi
  4. Tara Mobee – Betri án þín
  5. Friðrik Ómar – Hvað ef ég get ekki elskað?

The qualifiers were decided by a combination of the jury votes and televotes. After the votes were counted, it was the following two acts that won the tickets to the final:

Tara Mobee – Betri án þín

After these two qualifiers, it was time for a surprise. The host told that there was going to be a wild card qualifier, which would be finalist number five. It turned out that the wild card qualifier was Kristina Skoubo Bærendsen from semi-final 1:

So Friðrik Ómar, Tara Mobee and Kristina Skoubo Bærendsen are going to join the semi-final one qualifiers, Hera Björk and Hatari in the grand final of Söngvakeppnin, which takes place on March 2nd 2019. Here’s a reminder of Hera Björk’s and Hatari’s songs:
