The United Kingdom will be selecting their entry for Tel Aviv on Friday evening, and we were pleased to be able to meet with the artists competing in ‘Eurovision: You Decide’ at a meet and greet event.
The show has a different format this year with three songs to choose from. Each song will be performed by two artists in contrasting styles, and a panel will choose which version of each song they think should progress to the final stage. The public will then be able to vote for their favourite from the three remaining acts and determine who will represent the UK in May.
One of the acts is 17 year-old Holly Tandy, who will be singing ‘Bigger Than Us’. Holly rose to fame at the age of 15 when she took part in X-Factor, and we spoke to her about her x-factor experience, and how that has helped her to prepare for the show; her country style that she has used to make the song her own; and how she views the Eurovision Song Contest.
