Monika Knezović is a young and very talented singer, who shot to fame when she took part in X Factor Adria. Ever since this talent show, Monika has been busy performing all over the Balkans, taking part and winning various awards in music festivals, and she also sang together with Sergej Ćetković (Montenegro’s Eurovision entrant in 2014) in a concert in front of a full stadium. Now she is taking the next step in her career, and she is entering Montevizija, and hoping to represent her country in Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv with the song “Nepogrješivo”.

We had a great pleasure to chat with Monika ahead of Montevizija, find out more about her and her music, the team behind her entry in the competition, as well as her preparations for the show. Check out everything she told us in this interview right here:

Hello Monika! Thank you for taking your time out to talk to us! For the start, can you tell us more about your career so far, and your experience in X Factor Adria?

The regional X Factor Adria where I managed to achieve big success was a truly wonderful and a very big experience for me, and thanks to it a lot of new possibilities and new doors have opened for me.

Can you tell us more about your entry “Nepogrješivo”? What can we expect?

“Nepogrješivo” is a very modern song, full of energy, and it’s very catchy. It is also very different from all the songs you can normally hear in our region.

Who is the team behind the song, and how did you decide to enter this particular song to Montevizija this year?

Vladimir Graić Graja is the composer whose hard work is behind this melody, Snežana Vukomanović is the lady who wrote the lyrics, while Ivan Branisavljević did the arrangement. They were also the ones who persuaded me into entering this song to Montevizija.

Do you already have some ideas about how your performance in Montevizija is going to be, and how everything is going to look like?

The preparations for the performance are just about done. I’m a perfectionist, so I like to be in charge of every little detail. And during my performance, I will be wearing a dress which is designed by a well known Montenegrin designer, Marina Banović Džuver.
