Laura Bretan scored almost 12 times more televotes than Ester Peony in Selectia Nationala!

Slightly over a month after Romania’s Selectia Nationala finished, TVR has now finally released the full televoting results. A total of 11,169 televotes were received in total – the televoting winner received 41.95% of the votes (4685 televotes), whilst the actual winner, and Romania’s Eurovision entrant in this year’s Eurovision Ester Peony received only 3.19% of the votes (a total of 356)!

Ester Peony was the clear winner of the jury votes, and due to this she won the whole Contest. It was now revealed that she only managed to score 356 televotes, which was enough for 8th place with the public, whilst the favorite of the public scored an impressive 41.95% of all votes – 4,685 televotes which is almost 12 times more than the actual winner of the show, it was only enough for a second place overall. The full televoting results are as follows:

1,161 Bella Santiago – Army Of Love (10.39%)
988 Vaida – Underground (8.85%)
771 Linda Teodosiu – Renegades (6.90%)
572 Letitia Moisescu & Sensibil Balkan – Daina (5.12%)
455 Aldo Blaga – Your Journey (4.07%)
356 Ester Peony – On A Sunday (3.19%)
332 DYA & Lucian Colareza – Without You (Sin ti) (2.97%)
151 Olivier Kaye – Right Now (1.35%)
139 Teodora Dinu – Skyscraper (1.24%)
134 Claudiu Mirea – We Are The Ones (1.20%)

Ester Peony will represent Romania at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv with the song “On A Sunday”.
