Luca Hänni will represent Switzerland in Eurovision 2019!

The Swiss national broadcaster went for a completely different approach in order to find their act for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. Instead of having a national final as it was the case since 2011, SRF went for open submissions, but the “final” was held behind closed doors, where selected fans, and international jury members could vote for their favorites. After serious of auditions, it was decided that Luca Hänni is going to represent Switzerland with “She Got Me”.

Luca Hänni is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest, as he was the Swiss spokesperson in Eurovision 2017. He started his music career in Germany, as he won the German version of Pop Idol back in 2012. His very first single “Don’t think about me” reached No. 1 in the German, Austrian and Swiss charts.

The international jury along with selected Eurovision fans have selected Luca Hänni with “She Got Me” amongst all participants of this closed selection, to be the Swiss Eurovision entry in Tel Aviv. The official song presentation will be at 17:00 CET on Eurovision’s official Youtube channel, in the meanwhile listen to the leaked version with no video clip here:
