Today the official video for the 2019 Molodovan entry has been released. This year’s entry is called ‘Stay’ and performed by Anna Odobescu, a 27 year old singer from Dubăsari.

Anna won the national selection ‘O melodie pentru Europa 2019‘ back on 2nd March, where she topped the jury vote and finished second in the televote. One of the songwriters of ‘Stay’ is Georgios Kalpakidis, a prolific Eurovision national selection writer since 2004, and this is his national final victory. Congratulations Georgios!

In the video we see Anna and her lover have a huge bust up which culminates with him leaving her. As he drives away we see them both reminisce about the memories they’ve shared together. Will he go back to her?

Moldova will perform in the first half of the second Semi Final on 16th May. Can Anna make it three in a row and follow Sunstroke Project and DoReDos’ qualifications for the Grand Final?
