Kriszta Rátonyi replaces Bogi Dallos, and joins Freddie once again as the Hungarian co-commentator for 2019!

As we have reported earlier, Freddie (Hungary’s Eurovision entrant in 2016) will be the Hungarian commentator at Eurovision for the third year in a row. He was supposed to be joined by Bogi Dallos (three time entrant of A Dal – 2013, 2014 and 2015) who co-hosted A Dal this year with Freddie, but she is now being replaced by Kriszta Rátonyi – TV host who was co-commentating Eurovision previously with Freddie.

Bogi Dallos entered A Dal three times, most notably in 2014 with “We All”. After hosting this year’s Hungarian national selection it was confirmed that she will be joining Freddie as a co-commentator from Tel Aviv this year. However, Bogi has now moved over to a commercial TV station, as she accepted the proposal of being one of the four judges in the upcoming season of X Factor, thus her trip to Tel Aviv is being cancelled. Kriszta Rátonyi will thus once again be joining Freddie in Tel Aviv.

Kriszta previously hosted A Dal in 2018 and she replaced Csilla Tatár in the semi finals of A Dal 2017, and she was the co-commentator of Eurovision twice – in Kiev and in Lisbon, both times with Freddie.

Joci Pápai won this year’s A Dal once again, and he will go on to represent Hungary for the second time in Eurovision – now with “Az én apám”. Give it a listen here:
