As we all remember well, Maruv was the winner of this year’s edition of Vidbir, and she was supposed to represent Ukraine at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv with “Siren Song”. After all the mess that happened after the national selection, Ukraine withdrew. The EBU has decided to still include this song on the official Eurovision album, and now KAN – the Israeli national broadcaster decided to include Maruv as part of the interval act in the first semi final of Eurovision 2019!

Ukraine was drawn to perform in the second half of the first semi final of Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv. Now that Ukraine withdrew, the Israeli national broadcaster sent an invitation to Maruv to be part of the interval act in the semi final she was supposed to compete in, and to perform “Siren Song” which has already become a hit in various countries, such as Russia, Belarus, Georgia, as well as Israel. Maruv has accepted this offer, and we will see her and her and her five dancers on the Eurovision stage after all.
