Giorgi Rostiashvili will represent Georgia at Junior Eurovision 2019!

The first artist to compete in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 has been chosen: it’s Giorgi Rostiashvili!
Tonight saw the choice being made during the children’s talent show Ranina, the same show used to select Tamar Edilashvili as the Georgian representative last year.

The three hopefuls tonight were: Anastasia Garsevanishvili, Ana Berishvili and Giorgi Rostiashvili.
The event took place on Freedom Square in Tbilisi, not completely coincidental as today marks Georgia’s Independence Day!

After all the performances, a jury consisting of Lana Kutateladze, Beka Gochiashvili and Dato Evgenidze decided on the results and elected Giorgi as their winner!
All of tonight’s competitors are winners, though, as Anastasia will travel along to Poland as part of the Georgian delegation while Ana will even do so as the spokesperson, delivering the Georgian votes live this November!

Below you can see the performance Giorgi has won over the jury members with tonight:

The song Giorgi will be singing at Junior Eurovision 2019 in Gliwice-Silesia, on November 24, will be written by a team appointed by broadcaster GPB.
