Sadly, today RTL confirms that Luxembourg will NOT participate in the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in The Netherlands next year.

Luxembourg was one of the seven countries that participated in the very first Eurovision Song Contest in Lugano back in 1956, and has won the contest five times (1961, 1965, 1972, 1973 and 1983)

Well known artists like Baccara, Lara Fabian and of course Anne Marie David have all represented Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest.
