The Executive Producers for Eurovision 2020 are here!

Right after Duncan Laurence had won the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, it had been announced that the organisation of Eurovision 2020 would be a joint effort between the broadcasters AVROTROS, NOS and NPO.
Together, they have presented a solid team to let the Eurovision Song Contest materialise next year!

We see a familiar face as Executive Producer Event: Sietse Bakker!
Sietse has been the Online Manager and Communication Manager for the contest for many years and has worked as Event Supervisor for the EBU for six years as well.
On top of that, Sietse was the Executive Supervisor when the 10th Junior Eurovision Song Contest was held in his own country, in Amsterdam, back in 2012.

Inge van de Weerd has been appointed Executive Producer TV.
She has been working at NOS since 1995 and has massive experience handling national and annual TV events like Prince’s Day and National Commemorations and was involved when King Willem-Alexander married Queen Máxima.
When it comes to Eurovision, Inge has been the Dutch Head of Delegation from 2007 to 2009.

We see another Head of Delegation joining the team, this time it being the current one (since 2010), Emilie Sickinghe, as Deputy Executive Producer.
Emilie is an experienced compiler and producer of music programmes who has been doing so for AVROTROS since 2006.

And in the same role, we find another force! As the other Deputy Executive Producer is called Jessica Stam!
Since many years, Jessica has been a freelancer, working at NOS Events on basically all of their biggest projects.

When the news about the appointment of this team broke, Sietse Bakker stated:

We want to create a Eurovision Song Contest that surprises Europe in a positive way, something that everyone in The Netherlands can identify themselves with and be proud of. We have set the bar high, but there is so much talent and creativity in The Netherlands that I am confident that it is possible. The ambition of this team to really make something special out of this, together with the chosen host city or region, is great!

The first thing this core team will be focussing on is choosing a Host City and venue.
Interested cities will have until next Wednesday to deliver their ”bid book” to the team and the announcement of the city and venue is expected to be made in August!
