Following on from yesterday’s article with the news of the Eurovision Movie being based in Iceland, we can Today confirm that Pierce Brosnan will also be joining the cast.
According to Irish Brodcaster RTE, the Irish actor will be joining the cast which includes:
Will Ferrell (Anchorman, Elf)
Rachel McAdams (Mean Girls, Wedding Crashers)
aswell as a host of Icelandic actors including:
Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald)
Björn Hlynur Haraldsson (Fortitude)
Nína Dögg Filippusdóttir (Trapped)
and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson (Game of Thrones).
It’s as yet unknown what role Pierce could play, with speculation online that Brosnan could play a singer. Filming is due to start in London this week, with filming also expected to take place in Húsavík in Iceland, aswell as Tel Aviv in Israel.
The film will be directed by David Dobkin (director of Wedding Crashers) and produced by Adam McKay (writer of Anchorman).
