Catarina Pereira (two time runner up of Festival da Cancao) turns four chairs in The Voice of Portugal!

Lots of Eurovision fans remember Catarina Pereira from her two participations in Portugal’s Festival da Cancao in 2010 and in 2014. Both times she sung songs written by Eurovision veteran Andrej Babic, and in both occasions she finished in second place – with “Canta por mim” in 2010, and with “Mea Culpa” in 2014.

Catarina Pereira nowadays goes by the name Catarina Clau. She entered the Portuguese version of the talent show The Voice, and wowed all four jurors with her cover of Lauren Daigle’s “You Say”. You can check out her performance in the blind auditions right here:

Catarina wrote her thoughts on social media after her audition:

I was afraid to run again for another tv show but the truth is that today, more than ever, I know that music is my way and this show has been an example in the way it dignifies musicians / singers , even those who have been trying to drill a small market like Portugal for so many years (Fortunately, now has opened more doors to national artists), always with respect because they know that this fight is a constant.
Never give up on your dreams
