Mohombi expected to return for Melodifestivalen 2020

The Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has today announced three more artists expected to participate in Melodifestivalen 2020, where the Swedish Eurovision act for Rotterdam will be chosen.

According to their source at Nöjesbladet the three acts who are now named as taking part are: Mohombi, William Strid and Klara Hammarström.

Mohombi

The 33 year old singer is returning after his 2019 entry ‘Hello’ finished fifth and earned him a number three hit on the Sverigetopplistan charts, we understand SVT are reportedly very keen to have him back. He also previously entered the competition in 2005 as part of the group Avalon. Many will also remember his back catalogue of worldwide hits with acts such as Pitbull, Nicole Scherzinger, Nelly and Akon. It certainly would be no surprise to see him back in the final again.

William Strid

21 year old William took part in the previous series of Idol where he placed fifth overall. William comes from Söderhamn, located in Gävleborg County on the east coast of Sweden. Klara Hammarström

A rising star on the Swedish scene, 19 year old Klara has impressed with her first two singles – the uptempo bop ‘Break Up Song’ and her latest single ‘You Should Know Me Better’. She is also well known for being a part of the bronze medallist at the 2015 European Championships for ponies.

The multi-talented star will be looking to make a big breakthrough in her music career from entering Melodifestivalen and we look forward to hearing what she’s bringing.
