RTS receives 90 songs for Beovizija 2020!

The open call for songs for Beovizija 2020 – Serbia’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, ended back on the 9th of December. The preselection jury made of music editors of RTS has reviewed all of the submissions, and it has been revealed that a total of 90 songs were received.

For the 2019 edition of Beovizija 76 songs were submitted, so the interest is slightly increased for next year’s edition. The pre-selection jury will listen through all of the submitted songs in the coming days, and select the best ones which will proceed to the main competition – Beovizija 2020.

The exact number of participants, and the entire format of the show are yet to be announced. In the 2019 edition 24 songs took part in total, and they were divided into two semi finals. Nevena Božović came out as the winner, and she went on to represent Serbia earlier this May in Tel Aviv with the song “Kruna”. She finished in 18th place with 89 points.
