The waltz of Heads of Delegation: and now it’s France!

After the Czech Republic (Cyril Hirsch replacing Jan Bors), Italy (Nicola Caligiore leaving his position after Rotterdam) or Germany (Alexandra Wolfslast succeeding Christoph Pellander), it was revealed this morning that France was the next country to change their Head of Delegation.

On his Twitter account, French HoD Steven Clerima has announced that he was stepping down from his role.

After 4 beautiful years as part of the delegation, I’m taking off to new horizons! Thank you all for those great Eurovision memories! I will never forget.

Indeed, Steven has been a member of French delegation since Kiev 2017, and was appointed Head of Delegation last year, just before the French come back to Junior Eurovision (with rather good results).

So who’s going to do the job now? Well, French fans didn’t have to wait for long, since the new HoD almost immediately published a post, announcing the piece of news, and thanking her predecessor.

Thrilled and proud to be the new Head of Delegation. Go to Rotterdam.

Thank you my dear Steven. You’ve been a wonderful HOD for France. I’m proud to be taking over in order to fly our colours in Rotterdam. You’ll never be far from me.

Alexandra Redde-Amiel (who has previously worked for Endemol) was appointed Head of Entertainment for FranceTélévision a year ago. She is well-known to Eurovision fans for having declared that she wanted to make Eurovision even bigger on French screens, and for being the mastermind behind the decision to change the French selection process for Rotterdam.
