Two More Artists Revealed for Eurovision- Australia Decides

Over the past month, Australian broadcaster SBS has begun revealing the artists who will be performing in Australia’s national selection show, where they will decide who will be representing Australia at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. Today, two more names have been added to the lineup to ‘Eurovision- Australia Decides‘ – Montaigne & Didirri. Find out more about them below.

Montaigne:

24-year old Montaigne, from Sydney, had a very successful launch to her career on the indie music scene. Her debut album ‘Glorious‘ saw her win an ARIA award for Best Breakthrough Artist in 2016. Since that release, she has continued to bring a unique art-pop approach to her music and has helped to define the genre.

Speaking about her possible chance to represent Australia at Eurovision; “I’m excited to participate in Eurovision – Australia Decides for the opportunity to release the part of me that is dramatic and extreme. I manage to do it without a massive international music event as impetus, but on the big stage in Europe in front of millions would be everything the drama queen egomaniac inside me could want and more.” She also compares Eurovision to the World Cup for music! Didirri:

Meanwhile long-haired alternative singer Didirri compares his songwriting to writing a personal self-help book! He has released the very successful EP ‘Measurements‘ whilst also having had the opportunity to tour across America & Europe with some of the biggest names in the Australian music industry.

Didirri calls himself a huge ABBA fan, and speaking of the upcoming opportunity; “Although the world of Eurovision is new to me, from the outside it seems to respect a well-written song above all else. People seem to be free to express their art in whatever way they want.” Check out his single ‘Blue Mood Rising‘ here:

Montaigne & Didirri will join Vanessa Amorosi, Casey Donovan, Mitch Tambo, iOTA and four more artists yet to be revealed will participate in Eurovision- Australia Decides on February 8th 2020, with the winner winning the ticket to Rotterdam in May.
