Almost one third of the entire population of Malta watched the second live show of X Factor!

According to a survey carried out by Melita plc, X Factor Malta proves to be a very popular format in the country. The second live show of this competition, which took place last Sunday, was watched by more than 145,000 people, making it the most watched TV programme in Malta during the week. That is almost one third of the entire population of Malta, and it equals to a 55.3% share of viewing figures last Sunday night.

This year’s edition sees the comeback of all four judges from the first season – Ira Losco, Alexandra Alden, Ray Merciera, and Howard Keith, as well as the host Ben Camille. Ed Abdilla, Paul Anthony, Jasmine Abela and Dav Jr. were eliminated in the first two live shows, which means that eight acts remain in the competition. The winner of this TV format is going to represent Malta at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam this coming May. The winner’s song will not be chosen in the show, but there will most probably be an internal song choice, which was the case last year as well with the winner of the first season of X Factor Malta – Michela Pace.

The third live show is going to take place this coming Sunday, where another two acts are going to be eliminated. Let us know which one of the remaining eight finalists is YOUR personal favorite, by voting in our poll here:
