Sansa (real name Sannaliisa Ilkka, born in 1980) is a Finnish singer-songwriter, who’s done a long career in the field of music. Sansa is originally from Seinäjoki, Finland, but she studied singing in the Pop & Jazz Conservatory of Helsinki. Her first album Vagabond Girl came out in 2005 and after that she has made music not only for herself but for other artists too, both in English and in Finnish.

According to Yle, representing Finland in Eurovision would be a dream come true for Sansa:

I am a fan of Eurovision, so participating in the contest has been my dream ever since I was a little girl. Now I felt like the time and the song were finally right.

Sansa’s song Lover View is a cool and sensual electro song. Sansa herself describes her song like this:

The song is about the ultimate connection and love that we all need.

UMK 2020 -finalists have been chosen by a professional jury, which consist of many Finnish music industry professionals. The jury has given some comments of the six competing songs. This is what the jury said of Lover View by Sansa:

This is the UMK 2020 finalist who would be a perfect fit for Helsinki’s Flow Festival. Sansa’s voice and the way in which she performs are classic Nordic pop at its best and the production of Yotto and Anton Sonin, two of Finland’s top DJs, could well be from Robyn’s latest album

The next and also the last of UMK 2020 -songs, Eternity by Catharina Zühlke, will be published tomorrow, on Friday January 31st.
