Tornike Kipiani will represent Georgia at Eurovision 2020!

He had been topping the results tables at Georgian Idol for weeks on end already, the show that would determine who will be defending the Georgian colours at this year’s contest.

Tonight was no exception: after the televoters had made their opinion known through telephone votes as well as Facebook Messenger, Tornike was the candidate emerging victorious!

Tornike is 32 years old currently and father of 3 children now.
He has experience in winning as in 2014 he had also won X Factor Georgia that year!
Back then his mentor on the show didn’t know yet she’d be representing Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest: we’re talking about Georgia-born superstar Tamta!

More contest experience can be found in the form of Tornike taking part in the Georgian national final back in 2017!
You might’ve seen him competing with the song ‘You Are My Sunshine’:

Unlike during last year’s Georgian Idol edition, the Eurovision entry wasn’t chosen!
This song will be internally selected by broadcaster GPB and revealed at a later date.

What kind of song would you like to see Tornike perform in Rotterdam?
